Ipad Pro First Gen Battery Replacement

I was running the iOS 15 beta all summer and switched to the standard release. You can also use a guide like the following to improve things -I think that could get you through to next March or April and it won’t cost you anything to try it.

How to Improve Your iPad and iPad Pro Battery Life?

We love iPads for many reasons: their beautiful design, powerful processors, and high-resolution screens. But sometimes, your iPad drains faster than you would like – even if it lasts 10 hours, you would love to see it survive a little longer.

Generally speaking, the more capacity the battery has, the more energy you can spend, and the longer the iPad lasts.

Apple claims that all iPad models, whatever generation, have up to “10 hours of battery life to keep you going all day.” Ten hours is more than enough for scrolling Twitter feeds, but you could face the risk of running out of juice by midday when you have heavier tasks. Avoid using or storing your iPad in the sun or places where the temperature could fall out of that range. Apart from new features, the latest iOS software usually includes bug fixes that improve battery consumption, so it’s always a good idea to have your device updated. There are software and settings that you can use to conserve battery life, but the more powerful the iOS device becomes, the more energy it needs. Here are some settings that you might want to check: Background App Refresh, Motion, Share iPad Analytics, Notification, Location Services, Fitness & Activity Tracking. However, if you still observe a severe battery level drain, there may be a deeper software issue. If it doesn’t solve the problem, you may go one step further – erase all content and settings. It’s like restoring your iPad to factory settings, which can be painful and time-consuming, so if you don’t want to start from scratch, back it up first.

If the problem still exists, book a Genius Bar appointment and have them test the battery as it may need replacing.

Dead iPad battery? Never mind replacing it, Apple just sends another iPad for $99

Check out the company’s opening line:Now, let’s compare that to the verbiage found in the iPhone’s battery replacement program details:We can see the puzzled look on your face from here, and we’re sharing in the same disbelief. Apple is actually saying that it won’t bother cracking open your withered iPad, replacing the battery and sending it back your way; instead, you’ll pay $105.95 (including shipping) for a completely different iPad, which certainly has its pros and cons. On one hand, you’re getting a new (or potentially refurbished, actually) iPad in around “one week,” but on the other, you’ll be waving goodbye to every morsel of personal data on the device that you send in — unless you backup beforehand, of course. Please review Apple’s Repair Terms and Conditions for further details. The service costs $99, plus $6.95 shipping.

How to Replace a Dead iPad Battery

The iPad battery generally has a life of a few years, but it will eventually start to hold less power and need to be recharged more often. It’s not easy to replace an iPad battery because Apple designs its products with solid cases that can only be opened with effort and skill.

If your warranty is still active, go to Apple’s iPad Repair support page and click the Start a service request link in the “iPad battery and power” section (Search the page for “Start a service request” to find it faster). The repaired or replaced iPad should arrive three to five business days after you give yours to Apple.

Apple may test your iPad to see if the problem was caused by something not covered by the warranty (if so, your replacement likely won’t be free). You can extend your iPad’s battery life by disabling certain features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when not in use.

It will cost between $50 and $90 to buy the tools and parts needed to replace the iPad battery.
