I recently got an iPad Pro and a home Cloud NAS; I’ve been working with the LR library on dropbox and all data on external hard drives to almost seamlessly being able to switch working on iMac, Macbook, … My dream is that I could store all my data on my NAS (because we’re talking terra-bytes of data, here – nothing I want to store locally on my iPad, for example, because it will eat up the internal storage SO fast) and only sync the library through Adobe CC, accessing the photos on the NAS from all devices, including remotely.
Mobile/Ipad only Lightroom workflow for raw files and NAS for storage
– Ideally I’d be able to sync locally to my NAS storage and choose whether or not to keep the original files or smart previews on my iPad (Although I’m pretty sure this isn’t possible?) – If above step isn’t possible, the sync the RAW files to Creative Cloud and back down directly to my NAS storage without having to use a computer.

The problem is the way Photos and similar programmes (iMovie, Garageband etc) are configured are for a single user with an integrated database.
iPad NAS photo editing – help
Export high quality JPGs and add them in to Photos.app to sync between my family’s iCloud account / devices. I still want to keep the original files on the NAS for at least a year or so, but JPGs in iCloud is my end goal just for being the easiest way to keep my photos in sync on all my devices. The Files app doesn’t show previews or have any real way to star or rate images that I know off, and I’m trying to make this work with Pixelmator Photo but the Files browser in that isn’t letting me preview images either, I assume because it’s just using the Files.app browser.
