Ipad Pro 11 Screen Protector Harvey Norman

As you get ready to pre-order your fancy new tablet, we recommend taking a moment to invest in a high-quality screen protector so your new iPad isn’t damaged within days of buying it. There’s something for every budget here, as we’ve included both expensive and robust protectors as well as affordable film-based picks.

This 9H-rated tempered glass is strong enough to protect your new iPad against most scratches and minor drops, while the oleophobic coating resists fingerprints to maintain a clear display. It keeps the screen responsive, and the auto-alignment tool makes the application easy even for beginners.

You only get one in a pack, though, making it a bit pricey, and meaning it’s slightly harder to redo if you mess up the application process the first time. If you want something different, and if you enjoy the feel of writing on paper, this Paperlike Matte screen protector is perfect for you.

As the name suggests, it makes your iPad screen feel like paper, so it’s ideal for artists and people who enjoy handwritten notes. However, know you do need a stylus to use it effectively, which adds a few hundred dollars to your cost if you weren’t originally planning to buy one.

It maintains great touch sensitivity while reducing fingerprint residue, leaving your screen looking clean and fresh at all times.

This robust screen protector from ESR protects your iPad from nail and key scratches as well as small bumps and drops. This one also comes with a comprehensive application kit for ease of use, and you get two in a pack, so you have a replacement if the first one doesn’t quite work out. This is one of the most affordable yet fairly strong tempered-glass protectors, giving you high transparency, accurate touch response, and 9H-rated protection.

It’s also compatible with Face ID, iPad cases, and Apple Pencil, so you can pair it with any other accessories of your choice. Along with an improved writing experience, this protector also resists fingerprints and protects your iPad from scratches.

It resists scratches, maintains great screen responsiveness, and claims to offer 99.99% clarity.

Do you use a screen protector for your iP…

Curious if most people use screen protectors on the new iPad Pro 12.9 and if so is it tempered glass or matte and why did you make your selection? That takes away from the “genuine experience” much more than having a slightly elevated screen that’s just as responsive and arguably shows fewer fingerprints.

I’d rather just have a sacrificial screen that I don’t worry about damaging instead of trying to remember to bust out my lint-free microfiber cloth 40 times a day. I know that part was in my head, but the pencil was making a squeaking sound when running across the screen (I draw and take notes a lot). In fact, I actually found that writing on the slick tempered glass was easier and more enjoyable than the naked iPad screen. In terms of drawing, I felt like the unprotected screen actually hindered me because I couldn’t swipe my lines as fast.

Best screen protector?

I’ve used JETech tempered glass protectors on my last 2 iPhones and like the extra protection they provide (never had a broken screen or screen protector), but I’ve read the odd review that says glass screen protectors affect the Apple Pencil – notably that lines are squiggly – and “naked is best”, but while I do have Apple Care+, and I have a Folio Case and a pouch to keep the iPad in when not in use, I still don’t want scratches to become an issue – even little ones. Regular Plastic – kinda the best and worst of both worlds; won’t affect pencil use much and is a simple way to avoid scratches on the screen, BUT is reflective and not as strong as glass would be. I read so many great reviews for the Elecom Paper Feel Matte Screen Protector, and yet its sold out on Amazon UK and US, and I can’t find it elsewhere (does anyone know if they tend to restock?).
