Ipad Black Friday Apple

Thankfully, with Black Friday on the way, plenty of early deals have been rolling in from a wide range of retailers. We expect to see even more offers on these devices in the days ahead, so be sure to check this page regularly for updates on any new deals and discounts we find. Apple products are notorious for rarely going on sale, however, with so many variants of the iPad available, pricing on different models has fluctuated throughout the year. Shopping online allows you a great opportunity to compare specs and prices across various iPad models.

While we don’t expect to see any direct discounts on iPad from Apple, these devices are widely available to purchase through third-party retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. We have seen substantial discounts on a number of iPad variants in the past at both retailers and each will likely be among the best places to buy one as we head into the holiday shopping season.

Best Apple Black Friday deals 2023, from iPhones to iPads

This Black Friday, there are set to be price cuts across a whole host of tech, including laptops, TVs, wireless headphones and more. You’re also going to be able to get your hands on discounted home appliances – from coveted air fryers and dehumidifiers to vacuum cleaners (the robot variety included). “This is a fast and attractive smartphone, with Apple’s excellent design and build quality, the now-routine features, such as water resistance and strong screen, and a significantly improved camera,” our writer said in their review of the handset. “The regular iPad features a new design, faster processor and a better and bigger display,” our writer said in their review. Although it’s a few years old now, the MacBook air M1 is still sold by Apple, and Very has sliced off a handy £120 in its early Black Friday sale. Our tester said: “The MacBook air is remarkably lightweight and slim, an effect made more appealing thanks to a tapering design – at its thinnest point, it’s 0.41cm thick.

Amazon has slashed the price of the original premium smartwatch, to coincide with the new Apple Watch Ultra 2 launching. Featuring double the battery life of other Apple Watches and a bigger screen, it was the first to be available in only titanium and with cellular connectivity.

“The display is fantastic, offering outstanding brightness and exceptional readability, thanks to the size and flatness of the screen. It’s called the Ultra because it does more than previous models – from crash detection to depth monitoring to having a design that works with thick gloves underwater, for instance,” our tech critic said in their review.

It’s only four months old, but Apple’s 15in MacBook Air with the M2 chip has already had a sizeable £150 sliced off its price at Amazon. “Performance is similar to the 13.6in MacBook air, that is, the M2 processor is more than fast enough for most needs, handling all tasks effortlessly and silently.”

This Apple Watch comes packed with lots of new functionality, including temperature sensing, crash detection and sleep stage monitoring. But any seasoned sale aficionado will know Black Friday is now a month-long event, and deals have already started dropping at Very, John Lewis & Partners, Currys and more. Instead, when you purchase an item, you’ll be able to claim gift cards that can be used at the Apple Store in the future.

That said, if you wanted a discount on the Apple product you were just about to buy, instead of a future purchase, you had to turn to third-party retailers.

In the absence of Black Friday deals from the Apple Store itself, you’ll have to turn to retailers such as Amazon, Argos, John Lewis & Partners, Very, AO and more. In the past, these retailers have discounted the price of Apple’s devices by hundreds of pounds during Black Friday. You’re likely to find the best price at Amazon – the online retailer discounted the AirPods Pro by £40 during Prime Day in July. We’re hoping for better discounts this time around, given that the iPhone 15 Pro range has just had price cuts across the board here in the UK.

Score a Brand New Apple iPad for Only $249 for Black Friday

Amazon is offering a brand new 2021 Apple iPad 10.2″ Wi-Fi 64GB tablet for only $249. The Apple A13 Bionic chip offers very good CPU and GPU performance and the large 10.2-inch Retina display is bright and crisp. It’s a great option for school, work, or simply relaxing with your favorite movie, book, or streaming service.

Black Friday iPad deals 2023: best sales right now on iPad Pro, iPad Air and more

Actual Black Friday takes place on November 24 this year, and is likely to play host to a whole range of iPad deals. While it’s not the speediest tablet in the range, a decent screen, quality design, and relatively speedy chip make this the iPad that suits most people’s needs the best.

If the above Amazon deal on the 2021 standard iPad is sold out, then Walmart has your back with the same tablet for the same attractive price. And waiting around for a cheaper price can be tricky, as the iPad mini can sell out very quickly when it’s more heavily discounted.

So it’s worth snapping up now, especially as it’s a great little tablet with a neat design and plenty of power, and works well as a portable gaming machine too. The iPad Air 5 packs a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, Apple’s powerful M1 chip, which delivers laptop-like speed and performance and provides an all-day battery life. Still, as a portable device for creatives, it’s unbeatable right now thanks to the gorgeous screen, speedy M2 chip and a vast range of apps. Users of the 10th-gen standard iPad can turn it into a bit of a writing machine, thanks to the Magic Keyboard Folio. It’s incredibly rare to see a 26% discount on an iPad… or any Apple product, really, so if you have the change to spare, this 11-inch, M1-powered slate could double up as your laptop if you get yourself a keyboard folio for it.

Plenty of storage, a beautiful screen, great cameras plus a Lidar scanner, there’s a lot you’re getting for your money. The 10.2-inch Retina display will suit most people for watching movies or general web surfing, and while Apple’s new M silicon powers the latest range of iPads, the A13 Bionic is still no slouch. Going by a variety of trends, the best time to score the best Black Friday iPad deals is closer to the day.

Given Apple products can sell out very fast when they get a price cut, we suggest that if you see an early Black Friday iPad deal you like, go for it rather than hold out for November 24. With the excellent iPad Pro 12.9-inch starting at $1,099 / £1,249, we can expect to see deals that cut anything from $200 / £200 to $400 / £400 off the original ticket price. Usually, the biggest discounts can be found on the highest-spec iPad Pros, which tend to be pretty expensive when at full price.

The iPad Air can offer some of the best deals and bang for your buck, thanks to having potentially hundreds of dollars or pounds cut from the original price.

Black Friday iPad deals 2023 — best early sales now

Apple products can be pricey the rest of the year, but if you’re looking to save on one of the best tablets , now is a great time to do so. This handy pressure-sensitive stylus is ideal for drawing and writing notes on the iPad’s screen. Plus, stay tuned to our general Black Friday deals page for sales across all categories. You also get support for Center Stage, which uses machine learning to adjust the front-facing camera during FaceTime video calls. Although it received a considerable $120 price increase from its predecessor, this is a decent discount on the latest iteration of the base iPad. The 2022 iPad now features a larger 10.9-inch (2360 x 1640) screen, A14 Bionic CPU, 12MP rear/front cameras, USB-C connectivity, and Magic Keyboard Folio ($249) support.

The Editor’s Choice 2021 iPad mini features an all-new thin-bezel design, a larger 8.3.inch Liquid Retina display, A15 Bionic CPU, 12MP wide camera, and USB-C connectivity. In our iPad mini 6 review, we called it a perfect fit for anyone looking for a one-handed tablet experience for reading books or watching movies.

The tablet features a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display (2360 x 1640), 12MP wide (rear) camera, USB-C charging, and Magic Keyboard support. In our iPad Pro 2022 review we called it an all-around great tablet that delivers solid performance, a handy new Apple Pencil Hover feature, and excellent video quality. The perfect accessory for the new iPad Pro models, the 2nd-generation Apple Pencil helps you draw, sketch, take notes and more on your tablet. Support for double-tapping lets you easily change tools without setting it down, while the flat edge attaches magnetically for charging and pairing.

According to Apple, the new CPU should provide a 40% jump in performance when compared to the previous iPad mini. The tablet also features a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display (2360 x 1640), USB-C charging, and Magic Keyboard support. iPad Pro: Apple’s professional tablets will see massive price cuts this holiday season.

It’s not light on power though, as the new 2021 model sports an A15 Bionic chip, which on paper makes it as fast as the iPhone 13. Beloved by many, its portable size makes it ideal for reading, writing emails and browsing social media.

Best Black Friday iPad deals 2023: the biggest early sales live now

Official Black Friday iPad deals may be reserved for the end of the month but we’re already seeing record low prices across the range right now. We’re getting you prepped for everything you can expect from Black Friday iPad deals right here, and helping you get the best value for money possible with buying and discount-hunting advice. Save $80 – The 9th generation iPad is back down to $249 at Amazon, after briefly deviating from this record low price last week. Save $100 – The iPad Mini is also getting in on the record low price antics, shaving $100 from its MSRP to offer up this excellent $399.99 position.

That means it’s incredibly likely we’ll see it over Black Friday and while future discounts are tricky to determine in this scenario, experience tells us that any further savings would be limited to an extra $20 or so off. To still keep its value the absolute cheapest we could see it going in November is £349 but based on previous Black Friday iPad deals that’s wishful.

While savings have been less forthcoming in the UK this year, we’re still holding out hope for a sub-£300 price point come November. Save £50 – Apple bumped up its prices on the iPad Mini last year, which means the previous record low is now likely out of the question.

As such, today’s £519.99 sale price at Amazon is still impressive – it’s the cheapest we’ve seen in the last six months and it’s only ever dipped back below £500 very briefly once this year. ❓We could well see this model drop to £499 over Black Friday, returning to a record low set earlier this year.

Black Friday iPad deals will officially hit the stores on November 24 this year, not only that but this is generally when we see the biggest offers on the shelves. Last year we saw that MSRP drip down to $269.99 / £299 at its lowest point, a record low that returned over Black Friday in the US but missed the mark by £10 in the UK.

However, we could see even greater discounts by the time November 2023 rolls around, especially if Apple launches another budget model in this year’s wave of releases. Packing all that tech into a one-handed chassis is an expensive affair, as reflected in the $499 / £569 starting price of the 2021 release. That said, the iPad Mini felt a lot more recommendable at this position, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see that $100 saving return this year. We’ve seen it popping up for major sales events over the course of 2023 already, and could even go lower should the stars align with Apple’s next release slate.

We expect Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart to raise this price a little when heading into the holiday sales season, only to drop it back down during official Black Friday iPad deals. However, even if Apple doesn’t release another Air model in 2023, we’re expecting something a little juicier by the time November comes back around.

Those were some serious savings so early out the gate (these devices only hit the shelves at the end of October), which bodes well for future discounts. A new crop of tablets will likely be on the shelves by the time Black Friday iPad deals roll around for 2023, which means it’ll be a race to secure this current generation at rock bottom prices in November.

Traditionally, we have new releases making their way to the shelves in this time, driving the prices of older models particularly low.

While that might not be the case in 2023, we’re still anticipating some record breaking savings – after all, each of the current models will have had an extra year on the shelves compared to their predecessors. The biggest and brightest offers are snapped up on the big day itself, so while some discounts might survive to round two they’re not going to be as stable or widely available. If you’re itching for a taste of Apple’s latest tablet lineup it can be difficult to work out exactly which Black Friday iPad deals you should be aiming for this year.

Each iPad is (fairly) neatly separated into several different use cases, so it’s easy to work out whether you can pick up a cheap 9th generation model or go for something with a little more power under the hood. 9th generation iPad – you want an every day device for streaming, browsing the web, playing some games, and light note-taking.

10th generation iPad – you need more screen space and a faster processor for note-taking, gaming, and web browsing, but don’t need the expensive M1 CPU. iPad Air 5 – you’re generally going to be streaming and playing heavier games, but will also be writing up documents, taking more notes, or using your device as a graphics tablet. The iPad Mini 6 is more powerful these days, but if you’re looking to run more demanding apps or games, we’d recommend the Pro model instead – this one is mostly about form factor. iPad Pro 12.9-inch – you’re looking for a device to replace a laptop when you’re on the go, supporting powerful media editing controls, large file sizes, and with plenty of screen space for multi-tasking.

It’s worth noting, though, that we’re not expecting a new round of iPad releases in 2023 which will change things for this year’s sale. We never saw the previous generation go this cheap, and last time this price emerged it was gone within a few days so we didn’t recommend waiting around on this.

Save $100 – Not many retailers still stocked the previous generation 11-inch iPad Pro, which meant this $699 sale price at Walmart was one of your last chances to grab a cheaper 11-inch model. That was a brand new record low price on the latest and greatest tablet, and one we weren’t expecting to see for another few months into this device’s lifespan. Black Friday iPad deals are extremely competitive – especially if you’re aiming for one of the more powerful Pro or Air models. It pays to go into these discounts with a game plan, and we’ve been tracking these sales periods for long enough to offer up some top tips below.

We’d recommend keeping a close eye on any price drops you see, so that you can quickly judge whether an offer is worth your time on the day. Otherwise, we’d recommend checking Amazon first – they often have some of the best prices around but can quickly extend their shipping times as stock grows thin. Some stores offer free subscriptions, accessories, or services when they can’t beat another retailer on price alone and these may be more valuable to you.
