You’ll find all the best options below – just note that the selection is a lot more limited than it was on July 12 and 13, when Prime Day was still officially running, and the remaining deals might not stick around for long. Save £20 – The sales are heating up on this model, with the new iPad (albeit one year old) getting a tasty price drop that makes it the cheapest ever. Save £30 – While not the biggest discount we’ve seen from this model compared to previous Prime Day events, it’s still a mighty tablet to contend with, when you consider the screen, the camera, and what iPadOS 16 will bring to it soon, with a new way of multitasking and more. Ok, so it’s not relevant to all our readers, but if you’re a student or teacher then the Apple Back to School sale is running adjacent to this year’s Prime Day and is well worth a look.
Note, you will need a valid student ID or .edu email address to be eligible for these Back to School promotions. Save $50 – The cheapest pre-Prime Day iPad deal on the latest mini model can be found at Walmart this week.
This fantastic tablet is $159 off its lowest ever price at the retailer today and a great buy if you’ve got a bit of dosh to spend and are going to make use of the heaps of power these slates offer. While not for everybody, the combination of a speedy M1 chip and stunning Liquid Retina display make the latest iPad Pros great for professional design applications.
Last year’s event was actually pushed forward to mid-June, an exception to the usual that was brought about by fears around stock shortages due to the pandemic.
You won’t get charged and you’ll get full access to this year’s Prime Day iPad deals – alongside literally thousands of other Amazon sales over the event. While they’re a good indicator of what to expect it’s worth noting that this time last year was plagued by stock issues at many of the bigger retailers so sales were actually quite thin on the ground. With the latest Apple M1 chip hidden away under a gorgeous Liquid Retina display and full-aluminium chassis, these are easily the most powerful (and best looking) tablets money can buy right now.
Save £40 – You can also pick up the stunning 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2021 in today’s Prime Day Kindle deals, currently the most premium Apple tablet on the market. This one features the same powerful M1 processor but also has an upgraded Liquid Retina XDR display making it the tablet of choice for design work. Note – due to high demand, Amazon has sold out of immediate stock on this listing, although you can still get your order in for a reduced price.

, the site’s biggest sale of the year is underway with savings taking place until midnight tonigJuly 13 (2:59 a.m. July 14 EDT). Similar to last Amazon Prime Day, this year, there are over two million deals across every category, including home, tech, fashion, appliances, furniture, beauty and travel. That said, the best deals tend to be in tech and appliances, says Jessica Teich, deputy editor at the Good Housekeeping Institute. Should you buy an iPad on Amazon Prime Day 2022?
With early Prime Day deals rolling out left, right and center, you’re probably considering what to purchase and when. Crucially, Prime Day rivals Black Friday and Cyber Monday when it comes to these kinds of sales. Also, by the end of the year, you may need to spread out costs to account for your holiday spending, meaning buying as part of Prime Day may work out a better option for you. The iPad Mini is impressively powerful for the size, too, and an ideal option if portability is crucial. This is a good time to take advantage of the Prime Day deals to get something bigger than you might ordinarily have been able to afford.
Amazon Prime Day iPad deals 2022: all the best sales still live
Official Prime Day iPad deals may now be over, but we’re still seeing some record low prices across the full range right now. There’s money to be saved on the Air, Mini, Pro, and entry level 10.2-inch model in the Prime Day iPad deals below. (opens in new tab)Amazon is now offering a 30 day free trial of its Prime service ahead of its official sale. Save $20 – We were seeing a record low $299 sales price on the 10.2-inch iPad in previous Prime Day deals, but that cost has now flown off the shelves. Save $50 – This is a return to the historic lowest price on the 2021 Apple 10.2-inch iPad 256GB that we originally saw back in April 2022. Save $100 – The 11-inch iPad Pro is back down to a rarely spotted record low price at Amazon.
Coming in at just under a thousand dollars, this is a great opportunity to get a big and powerful iPad ahead of Prime Day. Save £20 – The entry level iPad hasn’t seen too many discounts over in the UK, so this record low price is all the more impressive.
That means you’ll find many of the best Prime Day iPad deals price matched at a range of other sites.
In the US, we’d recommend keeping an eye on Walmart, Best Buy, and Target, and in the UK we expect Currys, Very, and Argos to get involved as well. Amazon often offers Prime free trials around its sales as a way to encourage more shoppers, so time it right and you could be browsing the virtual aisles without having a paid subscription. In fact, a brand new record low $549 price has only just been spotted at Amazon, which certainly bodes well for some similar iPad Air deals come the summer.
That means we wouldn’t expect to see any further discounts on this record low come official Prime Day iPad deals this year. We don’t often see discounts on newer releases across the pond like those of the US, which means the latest iPad Air is still sitting at its regular £569 RRP – and has been since launch – at Amazon. With a relatively affordable price tag, and a jack of all trades nature, it’s the perfect starter device for anyone who just needs to browse the web, stream some content, and play some lighter games. Bumping up to a 64GB base storage (the previous generation only offered 32GB), the 2021 model has been a little more stubborn to price drops than its ancestors.
If we’re thinking optimistically (and with that September refresh date looming), Amazon could stretch to a $279.99 price here to break some headlines. However, recent discounts have seen this miniature tablet dropping down as low as $399 over the last few weeks, with many offers only jumping slightly back up to $409 afterwards.
We haven’t seen the UK’s record low £459 price on the iPad Mini 6 in some time, with the 64GB model holding onto a sales figure of between £465 and £475 for most of 2022 so far. The $899 11-inch iPad Pro has never formally dropped below $799 at Amazon, though coupons have often offered an additional $50 off that sales price.
That means we’re looking forward to some $749 price tags this year, potentially with an additional $50 lopped off that cost during particularly frenzied flash sales.
If you’re after the larger model, we’re expecting the biggest iPad Pro deals to sit in the higher storage tiers. The base 128GB model has settled on a £1,099 sales price that could give way to £1,049 if stock is plentiful during the official Prime Day iPad deals. This year there’s an even wider scope in the range than usual – we’ve got M1 devices sitting alongside budget 10.2-inch tablets, and models from 2020 still kicking around on the shelves as well.
If you don’t know which iPad you’re on the lookout for, it’s worth noting that prices and features generally fall along the budget to premium scale, with products placed in the following order:

We’ll keep tracking the sales across Prime Day 2022, so keep checking back for the latest bargains. Best Prime Day iPad deals 2022: Today’s top discounts
Amazon Prime Day iPad deals are heating up the summer with steep discounts on Apple’s popular tablets. These are the lowest prices ever for the iPad Pro and among the best Prime Day tablet deals so far. The entry model iPad Pro packs an 11-inch Retina Display, Apple M1 CPU and 128GB of storage.
In our iPad Pro 2021 (12.9-inch) review, we loved its bright and vivid display and slim, durable chassis.
Apple’s 9th generation iPad has a 10.2-inch Retina display with True Tone, A13 Bionic chip, 64GB of storage and stereo speakers. With Apple’s speedy A14 Bionic chip, the new iPad Air delivers excellent performance and good battery life. The iPad Pro in this deal packs an 11-inch Retina Display, Apple M1 8-core CPU, 8GB of RAM, 8-core GPU and 128GB of storage. The iPad Pro in this deal packs an 11-inch Retina Display, Apple M1 CPU and 1TB of ample storage.
These 4 Prime Day iPad deals are still live, but not for long
Prime Day is now over, but some of the best deals have stuck around in the aftermath, so If you need an iPad and don’t want to wait until Black Friday for the next big sales event, check out the best iPad Prime Day deals (updated hourly). Prime Day is officially here, so don’t waste time in getting your hands on Apple’s latest and greatest tablets at their best-ever prices.
As long as you’re not after anything too fancy, the 10.2-inch iPad will do just fine, playing games, taking notes and surfing with safari. Plenty of storage here if you’re after a tablet companion, especially if you’re only after something that’ll stream TV, read books or browse socials.
It’ll handle games and other weightier workloads like it’s not bothered, and even do some light productivity tasks. With the M1 chip also found in the Pro line, it’s also able to do some photo and video editing – perfect for those holiday compilations, or even for professionals on a budget. iPad Air takes Pro performance to a much lower price point – and this $50 off deal makes it even cheaper! 64GB should be plenty for a range of games, apps, photos and videos, while the Wifi only connection will keep it lower cost.
As with all Cellular model iPads, you’ll need an extra cell plan so that it’ll connect to the network, so it’s worth bearing that in mind with the price. It’ll slip nicely into a bag, or into carry-on luggage, and its size makes it perfect for one-hand use. It’s plenty powerful, with an A15 Bionic chip moving things along and a Liquid Retina display that dominates the bezel-less front. This is possibly the best deal on an iPad to date – this price brings it close to its budget-oriented sibling but provides plenty of power to justify the extra.
This is the top-of-the-line iPad Pro, featuring the biggest storage option and Cellular connection. It’s also got the biggest saving of the whole iPad lineup, with a grand $450 off full-price, bringing it down to the lowest price ever. Worth bearing in mind that these deals came around the same time as stock shortages, so retailers may well be more likely to give healthier discounts on some of these older models.
The iPad for the mobile professional with all the power of its bigger 12.9-inch sibling, but a smaller more portable screen.
The iPad Air 2020 is the most impressive yet – an M1 chip, a beatiful 10.9-inch screen, and a slick industrial design inspired by the pro. No, maybe not as powerful as its brethren, but it is still a great option for streaming video, reading, or browsing the socials.
It’s small enought to fit in most bags (and some pockets, if you’re brave enough) and powerful enough for pretty much all your tablet needs. It’ll play games from Apple Arcade, run all your favourite streaming services for long, back of the car roadtrips, and even take pretty stellar photos should you need a bigger screen than your phone when you’re taking your shots on vactation.

The iPad 10.2 is a really good size for mobile computing around the house, but it’s design is starting to age in relation to the rest of the range. These are Apple’s most powerful tablets on offer, bringing not only the laptop grade M1 chips to the table, but also a 12.9-inch Liquid Retina Pro XDR display. Apple Prime Day deals 2022: savings on iPads, AirPods and MacBooks still available!
It supports the original Apple Pencil and is a great device for browsing, streaming media, note-taking and more. Save up to $70: This is the latest iPad Air, which was only released a couple of months ago. It was already great value tablet considering that it contains the same M1 chip as the more expensive iPad Pros, so $60 off the 64GB model and $70 off the 256GB so soon isn’t bad at all.
With the new 2022 M2-chipped laptops hiting the streets, we expected to see MacBook Prime Day discounts on the previous, M1-chipped 2020 and 2021 models, but we’ve even found a non-Prime Day discount on the brand new M2-chipped MacBook Pro in the UK!
Save $200: The specs offered by this 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD 2021 MacBook Pro 16 are never going to come cheap, but we’ve never seen a discount of more than $200 yet, so this is tempting if you need a device of this calibre. Save $200: This 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD 2021 MacBook Pro 14 strikes a great balance between super performance and practical portability.
Save up to £244: Get massive power in a sleek portable package with a 16GB RAM MacBook Pro with either a 512GB or 1TB SSD. So it isn’t the biggest discount in the world, but this laptop was released less than a month ago.
Save £60: This deal is now a little redundant given the one above – we’d clearly take the newer 2022 M2 MacBook Pro 13 if it’s the same price as this 2020 model. Apple’s iMac range of computers contains some expensive devices and big discounts are relatively rare.
We don’t tend to see more than $100 – $200 / £100 – £200 shaved off the prices here at the best of times, and Amazon has some non-Prime Day savings in that range. This iMac has a stunning Retina 5K display, a 10th-generation Intel Core i5 processor and 512GB storage.
Surprisingly, there aren’t any specific Prime Day AirPods deals so far, but Amazon does have some good savings on AirPods outside of Prime Day, meaning you don’t need to be a member to snap up one of these offers. Save $100: This is a welcome discount on Apple’s over-ear headphones, and given how expensive they are, so it’s well worth taking advantage of. The AirPods Pro have active noise cancellation for a great listening experience. Save £60: Again, not the lowest price we’ve ever seen for the AirPods Pro in the UK, but 25% is a fairly good saving on what are Apple’s best inner-ear headphones with noise cancelling, Siri voice commands, and a wireless charging case to boost battery life. Your best bet for a discount on a new iPhone in the US is via trade in direct with Apple (opens in new tab). Fortunately, Amazon’s been offering fairly regular discounts of up to $70 on the Apple Watch 7 for a few months now, and these have continued throughout Prime.
Save $50: The more value-oriented Apple Watch SE has a smaller screen than the Series 7 and doesn’t have an always-on display, but it offers great value – and now even more so with $50 off in both sizes. Apple Prime Day deals, and all Prime Day deals are scheduled to end in the UK and the rest of Europe and Australia at 11:59pm on Wednesday 13 July at each country’s local time. All exclusive Apple Prime Day deals will end at those times, but we should note that the majority of the Amazon Apple deals that we’ve highlighted above are not officially part of Prime Day. That means that they may continue to run after Prime Day ends – but equally, they might not!
Even if the deal doesn’t time out, stock may well sell out due to the spike in sales over Prime Day. Amazon offers Prime Day discounts across a huge range of products, including a lot of tech items.
Last year, we saw up to $100 / £100 off the price of some iPads and MacBooks, rising to $200 / £200 in cases of the most high-spec configurations. We also what at the time were record low prices on AirPods Pro, plus some decent savings on iPhone 12 and Apple Watch 6 in the UK. By and large, you’ll need to turn to slightly older Apple products for the biggest potential savings. Don’t forget that other retailers often try to get in on the action too and offer Prime Day Apple deals of their own (an open to non-Prime members).
These are obviously not technically Prime Day Apple deals, but retailers seem to time them intentionally to compete with Amazon. Luckily you can sign up for a no-strings-attached 30-day free trial (opens in new tab), which means you can take advantage of Amazon Prime Day Apple deals before you start to be charged for a subscription.
And you can always even cancel your subscription with no penalty as soon as Prime Day is over if you really don’t think you’ll continue to use the benefits of the service.
Best Prime Day iPad deals 2022 — best sales now
As is the annual practice, Amazon is slashing prices on Apple’s most popular tablets throughout its retail holiday. The iPad mini continues to be the hardest deal to find, but we’ve got two ways to save on it below (one isn’t at Amazon, though)!
The 10.2-inch iPad features Apple’s A13 Bionic CPU, a new 12MP front camera, and 64GB of storage (instead of 32GB like its predecessor). You also get support for Center Stage, which uses machine learning to adjust the front-facing camera during FaceTime video calls. Although slightly older and lacking the renowned M1 chip of the next generation, the 2020 iPad Air 4 is still a fantastic tablet, especially at $90 off. Featuring the A14 Bionic chip, this tablet is no slouch, while its Liquid Retina display and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity make it perfect for streaming and working on the go. The iPad Air sports a larger 10.9-inch display, speedy M1 chip, and support for USB-C charging. This model is $50 off right now, and includes the A15 Bionic chip and an 8.3″ Liquid Retina display, with True Tone and wide color.
The 128GB model is $100 off at Amazon, making this one of the best Prime Day iPad deals you’ll find — at least when Apple’s high-end tablet is in stock.
It features a stunning 12.9-inch Liquid Retina mini LED display (2732 x 2048) with 120Hz Pro Motion, TrueTone, and P3 wide color.
The AirPods Pro offer both sweat and water resistance (IPX4 certified) along with built-in noise cancellation. They feature large ear cushions, a digital crown, active noise cancellation, and Spatial Audio.
So when looking for Prime Day iPad deals, it’s worth checking various colors for the lowest price. That said, this is the iPad I personally own and it still runs like new, whether I’m streaming Apple Music, Netflix, or playing Mario Kart. Keep in mind that the base models tend to sell out fast, so you’ll have to act quickly should you see that sale price. Make sure to keep an eye on Best Buy, which could undercut both retailers by offering freebies with its iPad sales.
The Best Amazon Prime Day 2022 Deals on iPads and Tablets
They can be used for reading ebooks, mobile gaming, or streaming, with more screen real estate than a smartphone and less bulk than a laptop. Easy to use and powerful enough to run programs like Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop, this portable device will be your go-to for work and play on the go. The 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display is well-suited for playing games and watching videos and features True Tone, P3 wide color, and an anti-reflective coating for a stunning viewing experience.
This model is also equipped with Apple’s M1 chip, which provides a significant boost in processing power over older chipsets.
The tablet has a large high-end display that’s perfect for watching videos, and nifty features such as a LiDAR scanner for use in immersive AR games. Amazon’s Fire 7 is a fairly low-end tablet, but if you’re looking for an affordable ebook reading device or something to keep the kids entertained, you can’t argue with the price.

We’d recommend bookmarking the product pages you’re most interested in, so you can browse discounts as soon as Prime Day hits. Prime Day rival sales: Other places to find Apple deals As Prime Day’s popularity has grown, other retailers have begun hosting deals events at the same time. Prime Day iPad deals: here’s what happened in 2022
In case you are wondering if iPads get any discounts during these awesome sales events, here’s a recap of what happened to Apple tablet prices during Prime Day 2022: 9.2 Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2021) The Good Beautiful and large OLED-rivaling mini-LED display Surprisingly thin and light for its size The Bad iPadOS 14 doesn’t take advantage of those specs
The iPad Air (2022) gen didn’t get much love, with only the occasional (and ephemeral) $150 discount here and there.
9.0 Apple iPad mini 6 The Good Perfect size and weight for reading and jotting down notes 2nd-gen Apple Pencil support The Bad Unimpressive display, wavy scrolling in portrait mode
The newest iPad mini also got a $150 price slash, but there was a caveat — it was the cellular model, with a Verizon contract. Still, we are pretty sure that those who were in the market for a highly portable tablet with mobile connectivity struck a deal here.
9.0 Apple iPad 10.2-inch (2021) The Good The full iPadOS experience at a low cost This was also the case during Prime Day 2022, where it was super easy to find the iPad (2021) for $299 at various places. Apple rarely discounts its gadgets, and big shopping events like Amazon Prime Day are no exception.
