Iottie Phone Holder Review

We have come to rely on our smart devices in the car for things like navigation and music, but most places require hands-free operation because otherwise, distracted driving is dangerous. It provides a strong and secure grip while being easily adjustable, fits most devices even with a case on, and has a nice magnetic cord organizer to keep your cable ready to go.

In the box, you get three main components: the dashboard pad, the telescopic arm with suction cup at the bottom, and the mount cradle. The Easy One Touch 5 is strong and secure on your dash, so your iPhone isn’t going anywhere, even on the bumpiest roads.

A new feature with the One Touch 5 is the magnetic cord organizer, which is located on the back of the bottom foot. iOttie includes a magnetic tab in the box, which you can wrap around your iPhone charging cable in the car. The longer extension with the telescopic arm means it’s easier for me to reach my iPhone when I need to, and the magnetic cable organizer is a nice addition. The suction cup and dashboard pad have an incredibly strong grip, so I feel like it can withstand pretty much anything, even the bumpiest of roads.

That dashboard pad can be tough to remove iOttie Easy One Touch 5 Dash & Windshield Mount: What I Don’t Like My only issue with the Easy One Touch dashboard pad is that since it’s semi-permanent and designed for one-time use only, it’s pretty much stuck there until you change your mind.

While this means that the dashboard pad keeps your mount and phone in place, it’s a real pain to remove if you want to change to something else.

An affordable and necessary car accessory iOttie Easy One Touch 5 Dash & Windshield Mount: The Bottom Line 4.5 out of 5 If you’re in the market for a car mount for your phone, then you cannot go wrong with iOttie Easy One Touch 5. Just make sure you put that dashboard pad in the right spot the first time, because it’s semi-permanent and you can’t reuse it.

Customer Reviews: iOttie Easy One Touch 3 Universal Dash & Windshield Car Mount for Mobile Phones Black HLCRIO120RT

I have had other mounts that have dropped on small bumps on the road, and in one case even caused a crack on one of my phones! My dash has a slight curve, and the pad still adhered well Another huge improvement is the versatility in the angle you can mount your phone.

Overall, this is a fantastic phone mount and iOttie have done a great job in keeping the design compact, despite all the functionality.

iOttie Easy One Touch 4 review: Versatile and convenient

It uses a suction cup for mounting to dashboards and windshields, while a telescopic arm can be customized for optimal viewing. It’s a simple operation that makes jumping in and out of your vehicle with your phone a quick and easy process. The ball cap provides total freedom of orientation, and the arms are wide enough to handle most phones.

If that isn’t enough, you can also customize the holder’s feet to keep your device from falling victim to gravity.

iOttie’s holder is mounted with a suction cup, which proved to be strong enough to hold even heavy phones like the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Suction cups also give you freedom of placement, as they make it possible to mount the holder wherever you deem safest and most convenient.

Having anything obstructing your front view is a hazard, not to mention illegal in some regions (check your local laws). But while the windshield and dashboard are obvious homes for this mount, you don’t necessarily have to put the iOttie Easy One Touch 4 there.

The joints felt strongly attached and nothing really moved around, save for a few thinner parts in the holder. Of course, the fact that the phone holder extends out makes it more prone to random movement when driving over rougher terrain. Moving arms provide plenty of flexibility for optimal phone access and viewing. An included dashboard pad and suction cup make it possible to attach the accessory to more surfaces (if they fit).

iOttie also offers the Easy One Touch 5 now, which is another product you might want to consider if you don’t mind paying a bit extra.

iOttie Easy One Touch 5 Smartphone Car Mount review

If you really must buy a phone holder that uses a suction cup to stick to your car, this is a good place to start. If you really must buy a phone holder that uses a suction cup to stick to your car, this is a good place to start. Sticking things to windshields and dashboards has long been one of the most popular ways of keeping a phone in view while driving, but you’ll need to make sure you get one as secure as this. That’s an important feature because it means you can stick this thing to your windshield while keeping your phone within reach. A magnetic cord organizer is also included in the box, and is meant to attach to the back of the holder as a way to keep your charger handy. For most people, and the easiest method of installation, the best solution is to stick this thing to a windshield.

The theory is simple — stick that pad to your dashboard and then attach the phone holder to it using the standard suction cup. Just press the locking arms on the side of the holder, insert your phone, and push it in. Those with bigger phones can also move the locking feet as well, but that wasn’t necessary with my iPhone 12 Pro.

In fact, once installed, getting the phone holder back off my windscreen was so difficult I thought I was going to break something. My personal preference is still a mount that slides into a CD player slot, but if you must stick your phone to a windshield or dashboard, this is the best option I’ve come across so far.

iOttie Easy One Touch 4 Car Mount Review: Perfect driving companion

While there’s never any excuse for checking Twitter, texting, or watching YouTube videos while on the road, you might need to use your phone for turn-by-turn directions, answering an incoming call, or controlling your music while you drive. iOttie Easy One Touch 4 Price: $24.95 Bottom line: A simple accessory that does a fantastic job at keeping you (and your phone) safe while on the road. Let it rest there for about half an hour, place the mount on top of it, push the suction lever, and it sucks onto the pad with a force to be reckoned with.
