I purchased this specifically when I play one set gigs and change over has to be quick. When you tighten the yellow ring, the arm no longer has the ability to give you a 90 degree angle as mentioned by another reviewer.

I have an iKlip, which is pretty good, too, but everything is plastic, while on this, it’s metal and feels very pro-grade. The design is great and it pairs well with their BS311B music stand, but the execution has some problems: Swiveling “claws” pop out of the frame, get lost, and there is no place to get replacements (so far). “TightVice” requires excessive clamping pressure to firmly lock in place.
All of that could easily be fixed, and probably would not be an issue in a home studio – but it’s not quite ready for the road.

It was apparent right out the box that these were each very well made, durable pieces of equipment constructed from high-quality plastics and metal.
If you just want to hold a cell phone on a mic stand at a gig, the Smartphone Holder proved equally suited to the task, but has a smaller form factor. Although not really the focus of our music-related review coverage, if you’re an artist also looking to do some Podcasting, or if you want to capture some up-close performance video from a Go Pro camera, the universal Podcast Mic and Camera Arm Stand is comparably solid, though we spent the least amount of time with it over all.
