VR Box Review — A 3D Virtual Reality Headset

Now a day, most of the smartphone manufacturing companies are ready or already offering VR headset to their customers. – Like other VR headset, it has a slot to hold phones inside the gadget. The slot consists of a tray (panel) that can come off to grab the smartphone tightly.

Straps are there to distribute the mutual weight of the VR headset and your smartphone. – It has a cozy pad of sponge at the face side to give comfort while one wears it. – Users have to remove the phone from the tray to open new movies and videos.

VR Box Review – Budget VR Headset

We recently got our hands on the ‘VR Box‘ Virtual Reality headset with bluetooth remote controller. I’ve spent the last 3 days testing the headset to see how it performs based on Ease-of-use, Design, Comfort & Build-quality. The VR Box comes in all black except from the white “storm trooper” plastic front panel. I’m a fan of VR Box looks and think the extra grill details on the front make it feel a little more premium.

Attached to the side and top is a stretchy elastic strap that you can easily adjust to fit your head no matter how wonky it is. Let me know if you’ve found any apps that use the camera in the comments below as I couldn’t find any in the play store yet.

You have the option to move each lens individual forwards, backwards, left & right allowing you to get the optimal focus. One design flaw I found was that when trying to get my phone back in the VR Box whilst wearing the headset the insert kept catching. The shape of the insert allows it to easily catch at the wrong angle stopping it from sliding into the headset.

A quick solution to this is to bend it into a slightly curved shape so it fits the contours of your head more closely (worked for me). Placing these yourself allows you to avoid any phone buttons being pressed when you insert your smartphone. Also, there isn’t an easy way to search for only VR-enabled games and apps so finding the hidden gems takes a bit of trial and error. Galaxy VR (free demo): A space shooter game where you control a fighter ship from the cockpit.

Star VR Racer (free): A Tron-like platformer where you avoid crashing as the game speeds up

This is a budget friendly VR headset so as expected it’s a plastic affair when it comes to build materials. The included controller is also a nice touch and allows you to play VR games straight out of the box. VR BOX 2.0 review

There are some design changes in the construction, and the VR BOX 2.0’s lens is more translucent and clear than the previous version. Indeed, users comment that the device can hurt their nose and that prolonged use may irritate the forehead. this mobile headset is compatible with most Android and iOS phones (with a screen size between 4 and 6 inches) and VR experiences from their respective app stores.
