🎧 We are reviewing the Rock Zircon , a beautifully designed earphone packed with an 8mm dynamic driver and a powerful neodymium magnet; everything is fitted inside a tiny housing that looks sophisticated. The first section, from the stereo plug up to the cable bifurcation, is braided while the 2nd section is rubbery, this resembles something that we saw with the Xiaomi Mi Quantie Pro Hybrid/Xiaomi Mi In-Ear Heaphones Pro but the quality of the materials used on the Rock Zircon feel better.

The Rock Zircon can be used to listen music genres such as pop and even EDM without feeling any lack of bass but if you dislike bassy iems they may not be the best choice for you. The Rock Zircon can be used to listen music genres such as pop and even EDM without feeling any lack of bass… After an EQ, the Zircon became much punchier and deep but things started to get muddy and too boomy. The Rock Zircon were able to handle 42% of a Fiio E12 amplifier ‘s maximum power under our extreme bass tests (the portable amplifier was set to high gain and bass boost was turned on; a custom basshead EQ was applied too) and answered back with an aggressive increment of mid-bass punch and sub-bass depth. Regarding basshead impact and rumble, the Rock Zircon were able to achieve a respectable level inline with the KZ ATE, XKDUN CK-660 and VJJB K1S but a bit distorted.
Do not expect a true basshead impact and rumble like the Sony MDR-7550/EX800ST, Sony MDR-XB50AP, Plextone X41M, Senfer 4in1, KZ ZST, KZ ZS2, Xiaomi Mi Quantie Pro Hybrid, Elecom EHP-CA3580, Pioneer SE-CX8, Plextone X50M, Pioneer SE-CX9, Doboly Q18 or the Puma Bulldogs. With an EQ much more detail and brightness was gained, sibilant and piercing highs still did not showed up. They can be a good companion if you intend to use it at libraries or want to keep private what you are listening to (if you do not use a very high volume) Form factor, tiny size, light weight, angles nozzles and high quality materials make the Rock Zircon an extraordinarily comfortable earphone that can be used for very long listening sessions with any issue at all.
As a personal preference we found that putting them inverted (left earpiece in right ear and right earpiece in left ear) fit was tighter, seal was better and more comfortable but grabbing them by the back part of the housing will be more difficult. The Rock Zircon response to custom equalization was great, every audio frequency improved substantially and in general not much issues were introduced.

Kenapa?Eartips bawaan dari rock zircon itu bahannya cukup keras untuk saya pribadi. One IEM that kept popping up no matter where I looked – any of the assorted review sites I checked as well as Head-Fi – was the Rock Zircon. On top of all of that, they are easily the best-looking IEMs I own.——————————————————————————At the time of this review, the Rock Zircon are $12.99 on AliExpress and slightly more on Amazon ($13.99 for white/$15.99 for black).
Gearbest has them as well for $18.50 but if you can get them (legitimately) for cheaper then you should.For budget IEMs I’ve learned not to expect many accessories and the Rock Zircon are no different. I don’t have to play music very loud to block out everything but jackhammers and sirens and these truly do put me in a world of my own when I’m listening to them.The cable has two different sections: above the connector and below it.
The remote works very well for my Android (I haven’t tested it on iPhone) and the button takes a bit more force to press than normal but provides a much more satisfying click than others do.The only issue I have with the build quality of the Zircons is the 3.5mm jack. The jack itself is incredibly sturdy and takes slightly more force than normal to remove, which I personally like (it won’t come out when I put my phone in my pocket and such).
Because of this, the cable seems incredibly susceptible to fraying and I have to be careful with the joint any time I handle the Zircons.The Zircons have a V-shaped signature with surprisingly good mids. Mids come through warm and rich and fill out any song you listen to with the Zircons.The best way I can describe the treble on the Zircons is “just right”. However, the treble gets slightly sibilant and muddled at higher volumes, which are only truly noticeable in songs with sections of isolated treble.I read a great definition of soundstage somewhere that defined it as the answer to the question “How easily can you tell where each sound is coming from?” I used that definition to test all of my IEMs but the Zircons made me add another question: “How easily can you tell that the sound you’re hearing is coming from an external source?”
Rather than just distinction between left and right, I can pinpoint where each sound comes from while wearing these, which gives the sensation that the music is being performed live in front of me rather than being played from my phone.At this time, the only well-known IEMs I have that compare to the Rock Zircons are from KZ, which says something about their quality.The ZS3 has more of a focus on the lower end – it has stronger bass that is shown more prominently. However, the Zircons have better balance and imaging, much better mids, and don’t muffle at higher volume, which the ED9s do.These IEMs live up to the hype and may even be a bit better. For under $20, they provide the best imaging I’ve heard and have an incredibly balanced V-shape signature that makes the music fun to listen to.

Pilihan saya jatuh pada ROCK Zircon setelah membaca review positif dari para pemakai lainnya, ditambah harganya juga murah 🙂 Bagian rumahnya terbuat dari bahan campuran antara ceramic dan plastik yang membuatnya terlihat sangat glossy. Tapi, setelah kurang lebih 2 minggu pemakaian, saya sudah mulai bisa menerima ‘kekurangan’ itu dan menyadari kelebihan earphone ini. Earphone ini adalah tipikal yang sangat ‘nikmat’ digunakan untuk mendengar musik-musik pop, jazz dan alternative rock.
Intinya, saat digunakan untuk melakukan panggilan, suara kita masih terdengar jelas dan lumayan jernih bagi lawan bicara. Earphone ini punya build quality yang luar biasa baik untuk kelas harganya, tampilannya pun tidak terasa murahan sama sekali.

Banyak pakar audio yang menyatakan IEM ini cocok untuk penggemar basshead dengan harga murah. Sebelumnya saya pernah mencoba beberapa perangkat musik untuk telinga, ada yang jenis IEM, earbud dan Headphone. Soalnya dari segi dompet, saya belum mampu untuk membeli yang kelas audiophile. Kotak kemasan berwarna putih, Bagian depan terdapat tulisan “ROCK” dan 100% Original Produk. Didalamnya terdapat tempat sederhana untuk meletakkan earphone beserta eartips yang totalnya ada 3 buah. Kita bisa memilih salah satu dari 3 eartips yang sesuai dengan lubang telinga.
Berdasarkan pengalaman saya, terkadang kita sudah mendapatkan dan nyaman dipakai tapi sayangnya suara tidak keluar dengan baik kedalam telinga. Apalagi IEM ini kita gunakan sambil tidur atau berbaring miring maka suara seperti terjepit dan tertahan.
Tapi sayangnya saya harus pandai-pandai lagi mengatur posisinya dilubang telinga agar suara yang masuk kedalam tidak tertahan.
Tapi sayangnya eartips yang saya dapatkan bahannya mudah kotor dan sulit dicuci.
Tapi jika naik kendaran umum atau sepeda motor, suara luar teredam cukup baik. Saya test menggunakan handphone asus zenfone 5 dengan volume 3/4 suara hilang sama sekali.

Pas pertama kali mendengar suara yang keluar, saya merasa kok suaranya gak enak, pedas. Hasil suara yang saya dengarkan sama, bahkan bukan hanya mendengar musik tapi juga menonton film.
Tidak tahu kenapa setelah saya coba sekian lama kualitas dan ciri khas rock zircon mulai kelihatan. Pada percobaan kualitas suara rock zircon ini saya menggunakan laptop compq HP CQ61.
Suara low ini biasanya kalau untuk musik didominasi oleh petikan bass dan ketukan drum. Walaupun tidak terlalu berada di depan seputar kepala kita tapi tarikan suara dari penyanyinya cukup jelas terdengar.
Untuk kualitas vocal rock zircon memang tidak berada di depan atau jelas.
Tapi untuk suara high, petikan gitar gitarnya clear dan ketukan cymbal drum jelas terdengar.
Selanjutnya lagu slow rock mancanegara, Never Say Goodbye yang di bawakan oleh bon jovi. American Idiot dari Green Day saya coba dengarkan, wah .. ketukan pedal drum mulai terdengar, Bass menggelagar.
Pedal dan Bass tetap bulat terpisah dengan baik tanpa ada pesan pecah di suaranya. Menurut saya untuk kualitas suara rock zircon menonjol dari segi bass dan separasi. 135.000, anda sudah mendapatkan earphone basshead murah yang bassnya tidak pecah bikin sakit kepala. Kalau anda bertanya perbandingan dengan headset lain, earphone murah apalagi kw jelas rock zircon pemenangnya.
Belum lagi suara separasi iem kw tersebut kacau balau menurut istilah saya. Tapi kalau untuk earphone IEM xiaomi yang original, saya rasa mampu mengalahkan rock zircon dari sisi tertentu.
Seperti contohnya Xiaomi Mi In-Ear Headphones Basic yang mungkin akan saya review dilain waktu.
