Het seizoen van de lege accu’s komt er weer aan, maar dit keer ben je misschien wel bewapend. Een speciale powerbank die niet alleen jouw smartphone of tablet kan laden, maar ook jouw auto kan starten op het moment dat je met een lege accu staat. Het eerste dat opvalt is dat MrSafe deze handige tool levert in een nette etui die je gewoon lekker achterin de auto kunt laten slingeren.
Er zitten ook klemmen voor de accu in, een 12v adapter (vrouwelijk) een 12V naar USB adapter en eenmicro-USB kabel om de powerbank zelf op te laden.
De MrSafe Jump Starter is een product vooral gemaakt voor auto’s op traditionele benzinemotoren. De daadwerkelijke accu zit echter achterin en is zichtbaar wanneer je een paar meubelpanelen wegtrekt.
Dan is hij net zo gemakkelijk te starten als een benzineauto. Een vele gemaakte fout is dat fabrikanten hier te dunne kabels bij gebruiken.
Eigenlijk kun je dat pas na een jaar gebruik zeggen, dus duiken we even in de theorie. En dat heeft me al meerdere keren veel geld en moeite gekost als er weer eens een make-up lampje de hele nacht heeft mogen branden. Met een reminder in mijn agenda dat ik hem om het half jaar even moet opladen, ligt deze powerbank standaard tussen het gereedschap in mijn auto.

Deze veelheid toebehoren doet vermoeden dat dit product voor meerdere doeleinden kan worden ingezet. Bedenk, je koopt dit apparaat vanwege de starthulpfunctie, alle andere functies zijn leuke extra’s. Ik kan, bij gebruik als kampeerlamp, maar één nadeel ontdekken: je hebt weinig mogelijkheden om het ding op te hangen: enkel aan het polsbandje of misschien met de magneet aan een stalen buis.
Als je lichtgewicht tentje enkel carbon buisjes heeft, gaat dat niet. Nu maar hopen dat de ondergrond van je tentje vlak is… De alarmlamp is een handig attribuut bij pech: 12 felrode LEDs waarschuwen het overige verkeer. Het gebruik van de alarmverlichting kan natuurlijk ook bij andere voertuigen zijn nut bewijzen, of door een verkeersregelaar gebruikt worden.
Samen met het gewicht van de Vis Jumper geeft dit een momentum waarbij elke autoruit kan worden verbrijzeld. Het laden van de Vis Jumper is bij “meegeleverde toebehoren” reeds besproken.
Da’s handiger dan ’s morgens in de kou prutsen met een starthulp.
Ga je op wintersport, dan kan het apparaat ook zijn diensten bewijzen, als je auto een paar dagen tot aan de daklijst in de sneeuw heeft gestaan.
Één tip: bewaar de Vis Jumper dan wel in je warme hotelkamer. De Vis Jumper is verder een degelijk gemaakt apparaat waarover goed is nagedacht.

Yes, this charger is made better than just your regular power bank, but at the same time, it’s not shockproof from drops and neither is it waterproof.

This thing seemed like a great idea as l have a jetski and thought” hmmm that would be handy to have in case of an emergency, fits into the ski console and no more problems if one arises” Flat battery ” Haaa l thought , l have now got something to fix that, l grabbed my new EPower jump starter re checked the directions, yup pos to pos neg to neg and “Kachinnng” the positive spring loaded clip blew apart , found all the pieces and put it back together …ok check,,, pack fully charged then plug into EPower and start her up ……start her up…..now came a beeping from the wired unit and a red light …directions … could be reversed ..or short ciruit .no connection correct and that is clearly correct …. re attached …no beeping plug into unit……. nothing ….recheck directions…yup all correct ….. took the unit put it back in the box lesson learnt … buy the proper product
