In this blog, I’m going to do a review, and give you my impression of the MPOW 071 wired, USB computer double ear headset. Reading reviews can be very helpful before making a purchase decision, and this review helps further by giving you the ability to hear the microphone sound quality, it’s ability to remove unwanted background noise, as well as how the speakers sound. In order to hear the sound test I did, you’ll need to watch the video I recorded. Watching this video will allow you to see the headset up close, its features and as mentioned, how it sounds. A lot of people prefer to watch video content over reading it. These cushions are also oversize which is also good because they help to block out unwanted room noises.
Being doughnut shaped is nice because there’s no fabric between the speaker and the ear so you can hear better. It’s also padded, which is a nice comfort feature that’s not always found on other wired headsets, even those that cost more.
This means that it’s designed to remove unwanted background noise so your callers hear you, and not what’s going on around you.
Though this might seem like a minor detail, and to a large degree it is, this feature still plays an important role in you being heard well. Having the ability to turn off the speakers is a feature you don’t commonly find on wired headsets with inline controls. Having the 3.5mm connector allows you to connect to tablets, mobile phones and other devices that have a female 3.5mm port.
Most headsets in this class offer a USB connector only, so this is nice having dual connection options. MPOW suggests that you remove the headset every 1-2 hours so your ears can take a break.
I’m not sure if that’s a health concern type statement, or one that speaks more to the lack of comfort of this product.

MPOW HC6 Dual Speaker Wired USB Headset Review With Live Mic & Speaker Test VIDEO
Once the Covid pandemic of 2020 hit, businesses were scrambling to fill their needs for computer headsets. Employees found themselves abruptly working out of their homes rather than in the office along with coworkers as they were accustomed to. In this blog I’m going to review the new MPOW HC6, double ear USB wired headset. Before I jump right into the details of this computer headset, I did want to mention that I recorded a Youtube video review of the MPOW HC6.
If you’re still reading along, then join me as I break down the details of this MPOW HC6 USB headset. To begin, it’s worth mentioning that this is an entry level, inexpensive headset.
You have the ability to use the headset with a mobile phone, tablet or other divides that have a 3.5mm plug. However, in my test, which you can hear by watching my video, I felt that the sound level was low on the microphone.
Compared to other USB headset models I’ve tested, this one is clearly the lowest.
Again, I’ve tested a lot of headsets, and the MPOW HC6 is average at best in the microphone department.
Clearly this isn’t a Bose, but for a low end, inexpensive computer headset, I thought it sounded good. Some headsets are very limited in this way and as a result, sacrifice comfort for saving a little manufacturing money.
This helps to make it softer on the head which plays an increasingly important role the longer you wear the headset. Many headsets in this class, or even expensive models, have cables that span around 7 feet or less. The price of the MPOW HC6 runs between $30 and $40, which clearly places it into the entry level category where there are a lot of other models to choose from.
Make sure that it sounds up to your expectations, and it eliminates an acceptable amount of background noise.
I personally would have some skepticism about it, but it’s worth looking into more closely, especially if you plan on rolling out headsets to a large team.

Mpow 071 USB Headset Review
Sorry for delaying this post since I wanted to use the headset for a longer time to give a better review 😉 . With the other speaker busted, I knew it would take a matter of time before it would stop working.
Its reviews were pretty amazing that a lot of users rated it 5 stars. They offer four different colors in the Amazon website; black, medium blue, white and light silver. I seldom hear static on my student’s side too if they use a good pair of headset and their network is stable. I seldom put it over my head and just let it hang from my neck since they are a bit tight.
✓ It has almost no noticeable static noise as compared to the Logitech H340 USB Headset X It can heat your ears since it creates a bit of vacuum due to the soft pads
X It’s a bight tight so it will hurt your ears even with the soft pads for long hours of usage
My MPOW Headset was broken when I dropped it one meter high so minus points on that one. I got a new set of affordable and efficient gaming headset I use for my online classes.
