Logitech Usb Headset Stereo H650E Review

It has the same faux-leather ear cups and head rest that look nice and ensure that the headset is comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The H650e comes as a stereo headset with two ear pieces, which do a good job of cancelling out surrounding noise, so you can concentrate on your call.

Thankfully, the H650e does not disappoint, with clear and accurate sound reproduction from the speakers, along with excellent noise and echo cancellation, courtesy of the microphone.

It’s also very lightweight, weighing 4.2 ounces.Attached is a flexible microphone boom that swivels up and away from your face and is made of a rubbery material so you can move it closer to and farther from your mouth. Built onto the wire is a small panel where you press buttons for volume adjustment, microphone mute, and can place an in-line call on supported platforms. These platforms include Microsoft Lync and Cisco IP Communicator—the headset is optimized to work with both Unified Communications solutions, and the inline calling feature is supported on each.

Included with the headset is an attractive velvet carrying case, a quick start guide, and an information card for the two-year limited warranty.

As soon as I connected the headset to a USB port on my Windows 7 laptop, the operating system recognized and installed the appropriate drivers. I also specifically tested the noise cancellation, by Skyping a contact and placing a very noisy heater on my desk, right next to my laptop. As one would imagine, there is quite a bit of ambient noise in the PCMag lab, and it hasn’t impacted audio in any of my online meetings from my end while I’ve been using the headset. If you’d prefer a wireless model, check out the Plantronics Savi 440($49.99 at Logitech UK); it’s considerably more expensive, but it has excellent sound quality and range, and works well with webconferencing software.

Logitech H650e headset review

Logitech H650e USB headset with noise-canceling – product features, specifications and first-hand consumer review With the unfortunate circumstances in 2020 office equipment demand grew bigger but this time for a different reason.

Today we are reviewing a product that serves this purpose pretty well – the Logitech H650e USB headset with noise-cancellation is just one of the gadgets one may need for better home office work.

That said, we rate this headset as a device from the low to midrange category, so don’t expect Bang & Olufsen sound quality or other premium features.

Yes, we have well-made headset that serves its purpose pretty well but still we think that there is some premium price added just for the branding.

Review: Logitech H650e USB Headset

This is really due more to the fact that spare power outlets in my office don’t exist. While I’m not likely to use it to listen to my extensive hair metal music collection through them, it’s a nice touch.

The ear cups are also very soft, and remind me of those found on my Bose QC3 noise cancelling headphones. One cool feature on this is that at the end of the boom where it connects to the ear piece, is a presence indicator.

In fact, my old favorite, the Blackwire 720, has been pushed to standby status as I use the H650e pretty much exclusively. For a list of $89.99 USD, it’s a fabulous unit that should suit most chair jockeys that don’t need to get away from the desk while on the phone.
