Jabra Elite 45h review

Microphone quality is very good and battery life is the best we’ve tested, but some users may find it hard to justify full-fledged headphones when plenty of excellent true wireless earbuds exist. To stow the headphones in a bag, swivel the ear cups and insert the flattened headset into the neoprene pouch.

Despite the featherweight design, it takes just over an hour for throbbing ear and head pain to kick in—this happens whether or not I wore glasses. A final toggle at the base of the ear cup, near the USB-C input, may be pushed forward to manually initiate pairing mode or switched to power the Jabra Elite 45h on and off. As with any application, your smartphone may be subject to data collection by downloading the Jabra Sound+ app, which is detailed in the company’s privacy policy. As far as user interfaces go, Jabra’s application is one of the best: its slick, high-contrast design is easy to read and understand.

Users can personalize their listening experience by creating custom EQs that are saved to the headphones, meaning the sound signature you select is used across source devices. If none of these features interest you, the Jabra Sound+ is worth a periodic download because it’s required in order to receive firmware updates to your headset. The Jabra Elite 45h uses Bluetooth 5.0 firmware and maintains a reliable, stable connection so long as you remain within the 10-meter wireless range. My eyes and ears quickly adjust to the half-second delay during YouTube videos, so the lag isn’t offensive by any means.

Jabra makes bold claims about the Elite 45h battery life, championing 50 hours of music playback on a single charge. Under our standard testing conditions, a constant 75dB(SPL) output until battery depletion, the Elite 45h lasts over 54 hours on a single charge.

The headphones don’t place your head in a vice grip every time you wear them, so plenty of external noise will make it into your ears. The Jabra Elite 45h accurately reproduces audio across the range of audible frequencies, but what this chart can’t show is that clarity is okay at best. Each ear cup houses a large 40mm dynamic driver which reproduces vocals louder than some bass notes. Listeners who enjoy vocal-heavy music or whose libraries lack bass-heavy tracks will appreciate Jabra’s neutral-leaning frequency response.

The accurate sub-bass and bass reproduction may sound like it lacks the oomph you’re accustomed to hearing from your favorite tracks. If you prefer the standard bass-heavy sound, you can create a custom EQ or pick from any of Jabra’s presets in the Sound+ app.

Cymbal hits and clashes are relayed more clearly than the bass notes, and even remain audible during the first verse of the theatrical ballad. When there are high winds, the person on the other end of the call will hear audio clipping, but this is unfortunately normal in sub-optimal conditions. As of October 12, 2021, 942 readers have rated the above mic sample as somewhere between “good” and “perfect.” This is an exemplary result for wireless headsets, and at the upper end of what you should expect to get out of any products of this type. Neither headset supports aptX for reliable, high-quality streaming on Android; however, the Jabra Elite 85h houses a headphones jack for wired playback. Listeners who don’t want to commit to headphones should consider the Jabra Elite 75t true wireless earbuds, which have very good microphone quality, solid battery life, and a stylish design. Check out the Jabra Elite 3, the company’s most affordable pair of true wireless earbuds that still include premium features.

Jabra Move Style Edition review

The Jabra Move Style Edition headset is a fashionable pair of cans that features fine battery life and additional colorways over the older model. Construction quality is pleasantly premium with a stainless steel headband blanketed by slightly cushioned cloth wrap. The headband is adjustable via a basic sliding mechanism that works smoothly and retains its position even with moderate movement.

On the other ear cup, however, is a power and Bluetooth pairing slider running across the same plane as the micro-USB port.

By pressing the raised multi-function button on the left ear cup, listeners may access their respective virtual assistants. The omnidirectional microphone effectively picks up my voice during calls; friends made sure to tell me I came through loud and clear with only some background noise.

They’re not very comfortable for long-term listening, but they do the trick for a variety of workouts and boast large, accessible on-board controls. Jabra claims a 14-hour battery life for the headphones; however, our objective testing squeezed out 12.75 hours of constant playback.

If the headphones can’t isolate you from the environment due to a poor fit, bass and clarity are severely degraded. In the Greeting Committee’s song Pull It Together, vocals seem more perceptible than bass frequencies, which is unusual for a pair of consumer headphones. For their price, the Jabra Move Style Edition headphones have an impressively accurate frequency response, and their audio is clear. It’s impossible to miss its presence, but the Jabra Move Style Edition cans refrain from making it distracting.

What’s more, microphone quality is improved thanks to the more advanced system, and Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant are all supported by the headset. Jabra is debuted its MySound technology with the Elite 45h, which performs a hearing test to create a custom sound profile per user, something we’ve seen with Creative.

Jabra Move Wireless review

The energetic flavor – the review sample sent to TechRadar is Jabra’s Cobalt blue color – is supported by a lightweight, flexible and minimalistic design. Each earcup is coated in a seamless piece of bold, blue matte-textured plastic and are shaped like a recognizable cone speaker. The Move Wireless has appeal for minimalists; its mesh fabric and lightweight build are features that add to its “set it and forget it” metropolitan design. Thankfully, these headphones provide wholesome sound, a handful of features and stellar battery life inside of a featherweight package. Don’t let the small frame of the Jabra Move Wireless fool you: these on ear headphones feature little speakers inside of the earcups that are capable of surprising sound performance. The sharp, punchy bass pushes through the song’s barrage of mids and highs, which come through with grace as well to present a full sound.

While sound performance may have been the biggest shocker with the Jabra Move Wireless, my second favorite feature is how lightweight they are. The battery life is strong, easily reaching its advertised 8 hour duration for talk – or in my case, mostly listening to music – and lasting for numerous days on standby before needing a quick recharge. Bluetooth connectivity is a snap, pairing with my phone just seconds after powering on and remaining tethered up to about 25 feet before I encounter some fuzz. This is a killer price point for these lightweight and appealing wireless headphones with a surprising knack for great sound performance.

On a related note, the lack of noise isolation might see you pumping up the volume to drown out the din of crowded subway car or bus. The Jabra Move Wireless may be a budget buy, and get lower each time there’s a significant sale online, but don’t let that fool you.

Jabra Talk 45 Bluetooth Headset Review

Its boom microphone makes your voice sound clear and understandable, though also a bit thin, to whoever’s on the other end of the line.

Customer Reviews: Jabra Talk 15 Bluetooth Headset Black/Silver 100-92200900-02

The wired headset I was using had me chained to my chair with a short cord. I have inadvertently answered and unanswered the phone (i.e. hung up on someone) trying to position it in my ear.

Most importantly, the battery life is great. I was able to save hundreds of dollars when comparing the price to my $300 ear buds.

Jabra Elite 3 review: nailing the essentials for $80

After establishing a strong reputation with great, dependable earbuds like the Elite 75t, Jabra is overhauling its whole lineup with three new models. Jabra describes it as “a sleek Danish design.” My review unit is the standard dark gray, but there are lilac purple and beige options if you want something brighter.

Instead of the usual circular button on the exterior, these earbuds have more of a teardrop shape, and the mini stem with perforated mic holes from the company’s past buds is also gone.

But the company definitely opted for a lighter, cheaper plastic this time; the lid has some creaking and a bit of flex, and the case itself picks up scuffs quite easily.

And the battery status LED is sensibly positioned on the front, unlike older Jabra earbud cases where it was around back. For battery life, Jabra says the Elite 3s can hit up to seven hours of continuous playing time, and my experience so far gives me little reason to doubt that estimate.

Unlike the fatiguing, inarticulate sound signature that is all too common at this price, Jabra’s new budget buds have a nicely balanced EQ that lends the bass some added punch, but not to objectionable levels. Listening to Kacey Musgraves’ new album Star-Crossed, the Elite 3s did a great job with both elaborate, reverb-heavy tracks like “Cherry Blossom” and the vulnerable, acoustic “Hookup Scene.” Dua Lipa’s “Levitating” goes to show that the bass isn’t quite as thumping as on Jabra’s other earbuds, however. The Jabra Sound Plus app, available on both Android and iOS, offers a few different EQ presets like bass and treble boost, though you lose the full slider controls that are reserved for the company’s pricier earbuds.

Jabra rates the durability of the Elite 3s as IP55, meaning they’re resistant to everyday dust and can handle sweat and splashes of water, but shouldn’t be submerged.

But we started counting exactly how many times you have to hit “agree” to use devices when we review them, since these are agreements most people don’t read and definitely can’t negotiate. Despite their appealing cost and solid performance, I’ve still got some minor nitpicks: the Elite 3s use tones and beeps to indicate pairing status and other functions instead of the unmistakable voice feedback from Jabra’s prior earbuds.

And as we continue to see active noise cancellation trickle down into more affordable buds from companies like EarFun, Anker, and TCL, Jabra might have to get more ambitious next time around.
