The module itself is metal and feels premium, has good weight to it. This destroys a modmic and rivals a desktop mic for a small premium over the normal QC 35. If you like a lot of bass, want noise cancelling and don’t want to get a 2nd audio device for gaming I would recommend this.

The QC 35’s are gonna be on sale for just about ~$210 and I was looking something closed back and primarily, something uber comfortable.

Tl:Dr: Had the QC 45 for a week and will be returning them… $329 is overpriced IMO for the lack of features that BOSE removed purposely to seperate QC45 from their premium NC700 line. buttons miss register clicks/presses 20% of the time… You’ll hear the audible press of the button but the headset won’t change over from ANC to Aware or Aware to ANC… cheap plastic build quality & Cheaper fake leather compared to QC 35 ii … Seriosly these feel like $50 “budget” amazon headphones you’d get from china.

Final thought: BOSE 2 steps forward and 3 steps backwards… BOSE made these cheap but didn’t lower the price enough to justify a purchase. BOSE is going after grandpa Joe and Grandma Margerie aka regular people for these headphones who know NOTHING about audio headphones and the latest technology and see the BOSE logo and trust it.
If you have the QC 35 ii, APM, XM4s, jabra 85hs, NC700s, sennheiser momentum, even soundcore Q30s then you will NOT be impressed with QC45…. Overall disappointed in QC 45 and I refuse to buy into the hype before testing headphones myself.

Those headphones sound nearly on par with my Corsair Void Pro gaming headset that is a 3rd of the price.

I see that they add a boom mic to this and they just boosted up a bit on price and lowered the original QC 35 II.
Perfect gaming headphones, for about a month. : bose
I got the QC35, and after a LOT of trying out different configurations, I finally got them to play nicely as a set of gaming headphones (needed to get a headset buddy, so I could get mic and noise canceling to work at the same time – I have no idea what the engineers at Bose were thinking there). They were DAMN good gaming headphones, and if I can get them to work again, I would be super pleased.
